Greg: Looks like fun and you didn't turn green ! Those filets look great. I have only had salmon a few times, but have enjoyed it. Never fresh like that though. I am glad all the surgery and therapy is not holding you down from enjoying life this summer, best to you and bandaid. Did my Washington trip, saw the n/e corner of Wa, saw Northport, Orient Kettle Falls, Collvile, and then did a trip towards the N Cascades to see Rainy and Washington Pass, passed through Republic, Omak, Twisp, and Winthrop areas. The N Cascades are beautiful. Only saw them from the highway though, next time hope to be on the trails in the area. Drove over Sherman Pass twice. Had a doe near Twisp at 4:00pm, 95 degrees, drop out of the sky, actually off a hillside and land right in front our our truck, a quick responding driver avoided the collision with her. Was very very close to getting some deer. Saw many bucks in velvette in the Wilbur area, along the Columbia river hillsides, and N of Kettle Falls. Also ran over to Packwood Randle and Ashford areas for a few days. Saw 13 elk in the town of Packwood, yep right in town, then saw a small herd of 18 with two raghorns outside of town a few miles. Drove up the road to Sunrise Peak TH, but only took photos of Mt St Helens and Mt Adams. Was limited on time for hiking. Saw a limited view of the Dark Divide Roadless area via a FR trail, rugged country, with steep deep creek valleys. Some old timber cuttings with replanting coming up there off the FR's. Saw some bear scat, elk tracks and game trails. Lots of creeks for water, wallows access. Would be quite the task to bring out a bull elk from those deep creek valleys. Most of the Randle locals said they were hunting in their backyards for elk this fall. So... must be game there. HH in Pa
